As the second oldest city in America, Hampton, Virginia, needed a fresh take on marketing its rich heritage as a tourist destination. The city’s motto “First from the sea, first to the stars” covers its legacy as both a historical icon and a haven for research during the early days of American space exploration. The city itself offers visitors a wide range of attractions and experiences based on this lush history and its particular waterfront location. In developing the print campaign for Hampton we wanted to showcase the city’s unique sites and offerings with beautiful experiential photography. We then developed a revamped new website based on this same approach and a user-friendly interface. From print collateral and outdoor displays to social marketing, and web banners, the Hampton CVB has allowed us to create a marketing position for the city that is both extensive and unique, like the city itself.
