The
Meridian Group is one of the nation’s most experienced
and awarded marketing communications firms in the hospitality
and travel industry. Established in 1980 by Eric G. Lackey
and Joseph Takach in Virginia Beach, The Meridian Group has
grown from a small two-person graphic design boutique to a
full-service integrated marketing communications company employing
over fifty talented professionals. The agency now has locations
in three popular tourist resort cities, including Virginia
Beach, VA, St. Augustine, FL and Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Over the last 23 years, The Meridian Group has built a
solid base of local, regional and national client–partners.
Forty-five percent of that client base is in the hospitality
and travel industry. Our current client roster also includes
hotels and resorts throughout the United States and the
Caribbean.
The Meridian Group’s team is comprised of a select
group of talented and dedicated professionals with a myriad
of experience in strategic marketing, communication design,
copywriting, print and broadcast production, media buying,
research and analysis, public relations, interactive design
and marketing, account management and financial management.
Our contemporary facilities and state-of-the-art technologies
give The Meridian Group the ability to provide the highest
level of sophisticated advertising, marketing tools, and
services available.
The agency was recently recognized with Platinum and Best
in Show awards from Hotel Sales and Marketing Association
International (HSMAI) in 2003 for Public Relations. The
agency was recognized by HSMAI in 2002 with a Platinum Award
for the best marketing campaign for an attraction. Over
the past ten years, The Meridian Group and its travel and
tourism client-partners have been recognized with over 100
awards by HSMAI.
The Why
Philosophy
has always been the rule here. It's just who we
are and how we think. But the six-step Why? Process was
developed and established to allow us to delve deeply into
our clients' businesses to identify opportunities and problems
and move in a logical sequence to final solutions and executions.
