Get to Know Kerry Takach, our Digital Marketing Coordinator.

I’ve been at the agency for: Seven years.

When I wake up in the morning, my first thought is: Can I stay in bed until my next alarm goes off? (I have 6 alarms on weekdays)

Weekends are for: Dog walks, friend time and meal prep.

Drink of choice: Diet Coke.

The accomplishment I’m most proud of: Kicking my 30s off happier and healthier than ever and maintaining it.

Favorite Podcasts: All-time favorite podcast is Potterless and I will listen to it over and over again. I also love Eater’s Digest, This Might Get Weird and Splendid Table.

My current desktop picture is: Hidden behind way too many open windows.

I’m currently reading: The Food Lab and the Harley Merlin series. Your girl loves a book about magic or food.A talent I wish I had is: Singing. I wish, I wish, I wish I could sing but even I can’t tolerate my own voice at full volume.

My favorite movies are: The entire Harry Potter series (I cannot escape how much of a total nerd I am). I have all of them saved on my DVR so I can switch them on whenever I feel like it.

My guilty pleasures are: Raw cookie dough from my freezer (thank you, Marcella, for turning me on to @grossypelosi), the Chrissy Teigan Sunday Round-Up on @commentsbycelebs and super long bubble baths.

My idols include: My friends I see making life happen in real-time. Degrees, doctorates, families, houses – these are the accomplishments that I look up to.

What are you currently binge watching? Grey’s Anatomy. It is my white noise machine.

My favorite quote is: “This wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. Either it goes or I do.”– Oscar Wilde in the weeks before his death, he later died in the Paris hotel that had the aforementioned awful wallpaper.

I am fascinated by: Medical history. I have read a few books that deep dive into the history of medicine in different fields (My Age of Anxiety and Bellevue: Three Centuries of Medicine and Mayhem) and could not put them down or stop sharing different things I learned.

My top three items on my bucket list are: To try improv, to pull off a formal-ish dinner without having a meltdown or ruining a dish, and to buy a house I never want to move out of.

What I love most about what I do at Meridian Group is: Getting to put something out there in the world that people positively respond to. Right now, a lot of the news is tough to read. Sharing positive messages and beautiful beach pictures from some of our resort clients have gotten such a great response from followers. It really brightens my day to see so many people appreciating the content we’re putting out.
